Whitehall Township Recreation Complex

The Whitehall Township Recreation Complex is located at 7644 Durham Road (next to the Township Hall). Everyone is welcome, you do not need to live in the Township to enjoy it. If you are a visitor to the area, use the White Lake Drive exit off of the US-31 Expressway and proceed west on White Lake Drive until you reach Durham Road. Turn north and stay on Durham until you reach the hall.picture of playground

The complex consist of two tournament grade tennis courts built in 2006, a sand volleyball court, a horse shoe pit, and a playground.

It also contains a pavilion with 15 picnic tables, and a charcoal grill. The modern bathrooms are open from 8:00 a. m. until 10 p.m. in warm weather. A drinking fountain and a water faucet should provide the finishing touches to your children’s needs.

Rustic trails can provide adventures into the woods. These trails are not handicap accessible at this time but the Township hopes to change that in the future.

The playground fills a need in the community for a great place for kids to play. Thanks to the hard work of a great group of volunteers, and the financial backing of township residents, the township has an excellent playground. It features a handicap accessible swing as part of the swing set. Enjoy the pictures, or better yet, come out and have the kids try it for themselves!

Below is an inventory of some of the many features your children will enjoy:
